then leave them. find a new branch of friends to hang out with. try being with other kinds of people and be friends with them. if your “best friend” does try talking crap about you then ignore it. not everyone would be against you, just the special group of friends she leads, right?

if you already agreed to go, then just go this one last time. if you really think you can’t bear it, try inviting another friend to come with you. even people you don’t really talk to that often. just anyone. if you really really don’t want to go, maybe you could cancel and just say you don’t want to go anymore? but if you can’t do that, then i guess in the future stop going places with them. gradually say no to the things they invite you to and start hanging out with new people.
